STOP THE SELL OFF OF PUBLIC HOUSING

G’Day All!

On Saturday, 9th Dec. 2017 the Millers Point Action Group held a rally & march from Circular Quay to the Sirius Building then onto Millers Point to highlight the need for the Berejiklian LNP government to ‘Stop The Sell Off Of Public Housing’ and to build more housing for those on the waiting list and the homeless!!!

We rallied at First Fleet Park, Circular Quay where several speakers where welcomed and applaud by many of the passing  crowd!

One of our stops in Millers Point was at the vacant home of Peter Muller who was forcibly evicted in May of this year!
As with Peter’s home many remain empty either if sold or still in the hands of our state government!!!

Our first stop on the march was at the Sirius Building which this week was put up for sale as expressions of interest even though NSW’s Minister for Heritage, Gabrielle Upton in the Berejiklian LNP government ignored all recommendations to place Sirius on the State Heritage List.
Notably ignored was the unanimous decision of the State Heritage Council and the National Trust!
