Dear Friends,

With the release of the NSW Government’s Future Directions policy document on social housing, a number of groups have come together to try to build a broad movement to retain and expand public housing.

We are organising a discussion of as many groups as possible to discuss the possibilities and directions for this movement.

We hope that you can attend this discussion.
An invitation is below.

Please feel free to invite others.

Sincerely,

Hannah Middleton
Secretary/Treasurer

"INVITATION"

Time for Neighbours to Talk!

The NSW Government has issued its public housing policy, a 10 year plan directed at privatising public land and public housing
and moving as many public housing tenants as possible into the private rental market.

This is waging war on public housing!

We believe we must develop
a people’s campaign to retain public housing.

We would like to invite one or two representatives of your organisation to take part in a Talk among Neighbours to share what we think of the government plan and to discuss what to do to get the policy changed.

Will you please join us on?

Sunday 6 March
2-5pm
74 Buckingham Street, Surry Hills

(exit Devonshire Street tunnel, walk up Devonshire Street, turn right into Buckingham Street, 5 minutes walk from Central)

RSVP and enquiries: Hannah 0418 668 098 or Rozita 9345 0900 (leave message if no pick up)

  1. Lets as a group engage with ICAC and ask them to continue to look further into Illegal developer Donations regarding the sale of Public housing assets as this is going to be a real loss to future generations of Australians when the last of our valuble social/ public land assets are sold off for the benefit of their developer mates
